Lyrics

MY "DRUG" PROBLEM

It started with my parents,
Far back as I can recall.
My drug problem began then,
And I know it's all their fault.

They drug me to church every Sunday;
Drug me back there Sunday night.
Drug me to church on Wednesday,
Every week of my young life.

Must be in the genes like they say,
'Cuz my kids have my drug problem too.
I drug 'em to church twice last Sunday;
Drug 'em there last Wednesday too.

Some day they'll say:

It started with our parents,
Far back as we can recall.
Our drug problem began then,
And we know it's all their fault.

They drug us to church every Sunday;
Drug us back there Sunday nights.
Drug us to church on Wednesdays,
Every week of our young lives.

I'm not talkin' about cocaine,
Or that junk you put in your veins -
I think they call it mainline.
I just say hell no to that stuff!
One drug problem is more than enough
When it's a drug problem like mine.

It started with my parents,
Far back as I can recall.
My drug problem began then,
And I know it's all their fault.

They drug me to church every Sunday;
Drug me back there Sunday night.
Drug me to church on Wednesday,
Every week of my young life.

All I can do is hope and pray
My kids will make it on through.
Yeah, all I can do is hope and pray
Their kids have my drug problem too.

All I can do is hope and pray
My kids will make it on through.
Yeah, all I can do is hope and pray
Their kids have my drug problem too.
