Lyrics

SUNOF A SON

Miracles happen to strangers;
Never happen where you are.
Miracles lie down in mangers;
You’re sleeping in your car.

There’s frost upon your windshield;
There’s ice upon your heart.
You feel your fate has been sealed,
Has been sealed from the start.

Something’s tapping on your window –
Could be a Spirit or a Ghost.
Somehow, some way, you just know
It could be what you need most.

Did you know that God has two sons/suns
Ninety-three million miles apart?
One’s out of reach beyond the horizon;
The other Son is in your heart.
One’s out of reach beyond the horizon;
The other Son is in your heart.

You roll your window down a bit
As you let down your guard.
The Ghost is gone (He must have split),
And the silence hits you hard.

The blue sky stretches forever –
Almost as blue as you.
Never been this close to NEVER;
So far away from TRUE.

Did you know that God has two sons/suns
Ninety-three million miles apart?
One’s out of reach beyond the horizon;
The other Son is in your heart.

Then the bright sun burns its way
Through the frost and through that ice.
So many diamonds on display –
This must be Paradise.

Liquid questions frozen in time
Have chosen today to be thawed.
Your answers are all floating in rhyme,
Penned by that Master Poet, God.

You’re still homeless, hungry, and cold,
But there’s an ember in your soul.
The Greatest Story Ever Told
Has healed others and can make you whole.

Now, you know that God has two sons/suns
Ninety-three million miles apart.
One’s out of reach beyond the horizon;
The True Son is in your heart.
