HOPING FOR MORE

Every time I’ve gone
Shopping in life’s store,
I spy enough to get by on,
But I keep hoping for more.

Went to FACES R US
To buy me some good looks.
At Customer Service
They checked through all their books.
Tried to pick the right nose,
But I guess I blew it.
The proboscis I chose
Has a brass ring through it.
Looks like Pinocchio’s
Right after he grew it.

Every time I’ve gone
Shopping in life’s store,
I spy enough to get by on,
But I keep hoping for more.

I went to BABE DEPOT
To buy myself some love.
They put on quite a show -
Latex and leather gloves.
I wasn’t that choosy;
Took the first gal I spied.
Got hitched to a floozy,
A real Frankenstein’s bride.
She’s got her own Uzi;
I guess my hands are tied.

Every time I’ve gone
Shopping in life’s store,
I spy enough to get by on,
But I keep hoping for more.

Went to SHORTCUT CITY
To buy myself some time;
Asked them all to pity
My life of petty crime.
“CLEANUP IN AISLE SEVEN!”
The voice rang like a bell;
Said his name was Kevin,
And he thought that I looked “Swell!”
Guess I bypassed Heaven
And landed here in Hell.

Every time I’ve gone
Shopping in life’s store,
I spy enough to get by on,
But I keep hoping for more.
