I got a call on my cell phone
From some guy named Ponce de Leon.
He said, “I’m telling you the truth -
I just found the Fountain of Youth!

I found the Eternal Fountain
Now, you too can be young again.”
I said, “I won’t go back to when
I was twenty and acted like ten.”

He said, “You gotta try this stuff!”
I told him growing up is tough.
In fact, growing up is so rough
That I’m sure that once is enough.

I was trying to be nice,
But I had to tell him twice:

Just about then, my doorbell rang.

Were all standing there on my porch
Holding up an Olympic torch.

“We possess the Eternal Flame,”
Joe told me, “You can have the same.”
I said, “I’m too old for this game;
Don’t want to relive my past shame.”

He said, “You gotta try this stuff!”

Saw this on my computer screen:
“Try the blue pill or buy the green.

I called their number, told the man
Undying love wasn’t my plan.
“At my age, when it comes to love,
Believe me, Brother, once is enough!”
